Governess/nanny

High Park area family seeking teacher or ECE as a permanent full-time governess/nanny.

**The Job**

Family seeking an experienced, responsible, playful nanny to work with our family at our home in High Park, with summers spent in Prince Edward County. Our three children are 1, 6, and 8. The role will be primarily working with our active, very social, music-loving, joyful toddler, or helping at the house with some cleaning and cooking. Occasionally you may mind all 3 kids.
- have experience with ages 0-10;
- have a generally positive disposition and thrive in large (sometimes chaotic) family atmospheres;
- be great at creating in-home programing and enjoy spending time outdoors;
- be great at creating fun age-appropriate educational environments, engaging in imaginative play, swimming, crafting, singing, and dancing;
- be organized and keep kids spaces and the home in this way (experience with a label maker is highly desirable);
- be positive, playful, and calming;
- be comfortable overseeing playdates with friends at our house, increasing the load (occasionally) to 5-6 kids;
- be comfortable with tidying (or, better yet, in getting the kids to tidy) and food prep;
- generally have an attitude of “how can I help?”

**The family**

The family is based in Toronto and spends summers (June, July, and August) in Prince Edward County. We have a long and successful history of excellent integration of household team members; expect your birthday to be celebrated with songs and poetry. We provide a respectful work environment, and care deeply about our team and their success.

We have high expectations of kids’ behaviour and learning, and also maintain a loving and supportive environment in the home.

We strictly observe professional engagement with our team; absent a dire emergency, you will not be asked to change hours at the last minute; pay and benefits are managed by professional operators with pay slips, T4’s, etc.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
