Term: Starting Summer 2023 for a term of 8 to 10 months

In this role, you will
- Draft and negotiate corporate commercial agreements and services agreements for associates
- Assist with healthcare clinic acquisitions and related corporate transactions
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memorandums based on facts and applicable legislation
- Assist with employment law, human rights and employment standards compliance related matters
- Research and respond to general legal inquiries from internal stakeholders that relate to corporate, commercial, compliance, employment and human resources matters and provide advice on appropriate legal action to be taken
- Review provincial advertising regulations and provide guidance to our marketing department on promotional materials prior to deployment
- Review applicable regulations and draft formal responses to regulatory bodies with respect to dental clinic deficiencies
- Assist the Compliance Department in de-escalating issues at the dental clinics and handle patient concerns and complaints

What we're looking for
- Completed Juris Doctorate or Bachelor of Laws Degree (three full years of law school; anticipated 2023 completion) at a Law Society of Ontario accredited Law School
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Analytical skills and exceptionally detail oriented
- Self-motivated with strong time management and priority setting skills in order to meet deadlines and continually changing priorities
- Innovative, creative thinker and problem-solver
- Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
- Advanced MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Outlook etc.)
- Fluency in French is not mandatory but an asset
