**Coach’s Job Description & Contract**

The Agora Prep Coach is responsible for the day-to-day management and caretaking of the Academy and its students. The following are a list of responsibilities for the role:

- Commit to learners’ success by following the curriculum and its objectives.
- Sets clear standards of care, instruction, and interaction to reflect excellence and complete respect for learners in the Academy.
- Prepares learners for the next transition - change in school year, graduation to high school or a move to secondary school.
- Oversees and administers school policies regarding student conduct and discipline.
- Observes student progress according to Ministry requirements and CIBS scores.
- Plans activities and engagement events for students based on their interests.
- Becomes the point of contact for all students and their parents.
- Be an active member of any Academy leadership teams; solves problems for logistics.
- Follow directions and communicates effectively.
- Manages challenging behaviour with love, calm, patience and an abundance of strategies to assist students in succeeding at tasks.
- Contributes to the short-term and long-term strategic goals for the academy's vision.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned by principal.
- Assists in the maintenance and cleanliness of the learning environment.
- Ensures to model exemplary behviour at all times for students.
- Competent and experienced in working with children who learn differently.
- Aligned with values of the school that include no indoctrination of any sort.
- Organized, clean, punctual and committed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

- Education: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario College of Teachers (required)
