**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Staff Supervision:_
- Assist in hiring, training, and supervising service department staff.
- Schedule and assign work to technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Monitor performance and provide coaching and feedback to maintain high standards.
- Support front counter service staff and assist with overflow.
- Customer Service:_
- Greet and assist customers with their service needs, ensuring a positive and efficient service experience.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure all customer interactions reflect the dealership's commitment to excellent service.
- Operational Management:_
- Support the Service Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the service department.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the service area.
- Financial Responsibilities:_
- Assist in managing the service department budget, including cost control and expense management.
- Help to achieve sales and profitability targets by promoting additional services and repairs.
- Review and approve service invoices and ensure accurate billing.
- Inventory and Supplies:_
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of parts and supplies.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary parts for repairs.
- Reporting and Documentation:_
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including customer interactions, repairs, and parts usage.
- Prepare and analyze service department reports to identify areas for improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Education and Experience:_
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or technical certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Skills and Abilities:_
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in automotive diagnostic and repair processes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Reynolds and Reynolds knowledge preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
