Reporting to the Drilling Superintendent, the Driller is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of rock drills of various sizes and other drilling support equipment. The Driller will work collaboratively with the blaster and blasting crew on site. This is a remote and rotational based position that requires flexible working hours and travel to specific project locations.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Safely and efficiently operate various sizes of hydraulic rock drills
- Drill holes in accordance with the blast plan and pattern laid out
- Ensure proper documentation for drill logs is recorded
- Accurately check the quality and depth of drill holes and record ground conditions that may affect blasting
- Assist blasters if required by laying out materials for each hole, loading materials in/out of magazines, and stemming holes
- Maintain a clean and tidy Drill rig and report/address any maintenance faults
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards regular and reliable drill meters, rig utilization and consumables usage
- Conduct daily pre-trip safety inspections on drills and other support equipment
- Collaborate with construction team members to ensure efficient and effective drilling operations
- Ensure safety is a top priority at all times
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Previous drilling experience is required
- Proven Down the hole or Top Hammer Drilling experience is required
- Knowledge of drilling diameters within the range of 4” - 10” minimum
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including repetitive tasks and lifting heavy loads
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Critical thinking and effective decision-making skills are required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail is required
- Ensure safety is always a top priority
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
