We are currently seeking a conscientious and capable individual to join our Parts department in the role of Shipper Receiver/Junior Parts Technician.
**Responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:
- Execute shipping and receiving activities in a systematic and organized manner to provide safe, efficient, effective, and exceptional customer service.
- Safe operation of department equipment, including proactive maintenance and service.
- Organize incoming freight including stocking shelves and department cleanliness activities
- Support all areas of the business to achieve their deliverables including participating in cross-training activities to drive efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Provide excellent customer service when providing services, supplies, and parts to internal and external customers whether working on the Front Parts Counter or the Back Parts Counter.
- Convey inventories to required locations within and outside the organization driving the company's vehicle
- Maintain timely and efficient ordering of parts and keep accurate inventories
- Receives supplies/shipments and stores them according to a prearranged system and delivers on-order parts to technicians in a timely manner
- Organize and ship exchange parts and returns
- Keeps price lists and catalogs updated
- Assist the parts manager with parts inventory and managing the overall workload and regular department activities especially when the Parts Manager is absent/unavailable.
**Education/Experience required**:
- High School Diploma Required
- Parts Technician certification in progress is an asset
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the automotive industry or similar translatable experience is required
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is preferred
- Previous Experience in shipping/receiving would be an asset
- Basic Math and Computer Applications Skills are required
- Past experience dealing effectively and courteously with the public is required
- Strength, stamina, and the ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs is required.
- A valid minimum Alberta Class 5 Driver’s license is required.

**Compensation Structure and Schedule**:
- Wages will be commensurate with relevant education and experience. Generally, this position will be compensated hourly within the range of $15.00 to $20.60 per hour
- Average of 40 hours per week
- Hours of work will typically be an 8-hour shift (plus a 60-minute unpaid lunch break) each day Monday to Friday, with a shift start time between the hours of 7:30 am and 9:00 am and a shift end time between the hours of 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm
- Occasional Saturday work and overtime will be required on a rotational basis among all parts staff during peak business season (spring and fall tire season, inventory, etc.)
