Van Wasteco is looking for a Maintenance Helper

Van Wasteco is a processor of post-consumer and post-industrial plastics. We are seeking a Lubrication & Plant Technician to work at our plastics recycling company as part of the engineering and maintenance team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform the scheduled lubrication program for greasing of bearings, checking the condition of oil. Completed tasks is filled out on a report and submitted to the plant manager and maintenance planner.
- Use of tools and equipment for routine lubrication functions.
- Inspect and report condition of the bearings and machineries. For example, vibration, noise, temperature, dust build-up, etc.
- Inspects and maintains oil levels in all machinery to meet Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
- Refill, replace and adjust auto lubricating systems with oil/grease
- Work with the maintenance planner to maintain and update the lubrication schedules and routes.
- Participate in safety meetings with maintenance team and plant manager.
- Perform light duties assigned by the plant manager to continue effective operations.

**Experience**:

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Previous lubrication experience following a preventative maintenance program.
- Capability to work independently with little supervision.
- Demonstrated abilities to be proactive and receptive to short/long term maintenance.
- Attention to detail, strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
