The **Edmonton Regional Innovation Network ("ERIN") **is a coalition of organizations in the Edmonton region that support innovation, technology, and knowledge-based startups and enterprises. Our collective goal is to build a collaborative, cohesive innovation ecosystem that efficiently connects entrepreneurs to resources, capital, customers, and the community through alignment of service providers. The ERIN is responsible to Alberta Innovates for guiding the funding envelope that is received every three years, and ensuring the entrepreneurs have the programs to guide them on the client journey.

**Innovate Edmonton** provides support to the **ERIN** as the lead signatory on the Alberta Innovates funding agreement, the steward of the funding envelope as well as a service provider for programming.

**Your Opportunity**:

- Reporting into the Director, Strategic and Operational Growth, the Specialist, ERIN Operations will support a broad spectrum of service providers to promote collaborative community input as that applies to the design and delivery of ERIN programming. This role is the trusted ERIN contact to the community, and works to facilitate thought-collisions, feedback opportunities, and constant improvement. While a direct report to Innovate Edmonton, the role also reports to the ERIN steering committee co-chairs and is expected to engage them in decision making

**Your Key Accountabilities**:

- Promotes an equitable, diverse, and inclusive work environment, and contributes to Innovate Edmonton’s ongoing pursuit of reconciliation.
- Coordinates the development of new programs and services for entrepreneurs in Edmonton, in collaboration with sub-committees composed of ERIN members and their partners. Supports subcommittees in their organization and meetings.
- Ensures ERIN is meeting objectives of its programs and broader vision.
- Facilitates monthly service provider meetings for ERIN Members to share updates, working together to coordinate assistance for entrepreneurs in the community.
- Organizes quarterly and annual strategy meetings for ERIN members with the purpose of progress towards community goals.
- Evaluates, monitors, and communicates ERIN programs on a quarterly basis.
- Prepares reports, briefing notes, and presentations for the ERIN Steering Committee on the success of ERIN Programs and progress towards ERIN goals.
- Organizes ERIN steering committee meetings, preparing the agenda and recording minutes, supporting ERIN co-chairs.
- Collects feedback from the community on how to improve existing programs, and identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for new ERIN programming.
- Shares best practices through the lens of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Provides timely and helpful responses to entrepreneurs on ERIN matters.
- Prepares monthly budgets and financial reporting when required.
- Prepares and submits reporting for Alberta Innovates.
- Represents ERIN at provincial tables including the Alberta Innovation Network, AIN Meetings, tradeshows and more. Some limited travel maybe required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Your Credentials, Skills, and Experience**:

- Post-secondary degree in communications, administration, or related field (or directly related experience equivalency; one (1) year of experience for one (1) year of education).
- Passion for innovation and entrepreneurship will be an asset, as well as an understanding of the Alberta innovation and entrepreneurship landscape.
- Strong organizational and financial management skills.
- Expertise in running events, meetings, and/or entrepreneurship programming.
- Experience navigating complex relationships, and inspiring people to action.
- Excels in a start-up environment with flat organizational structure and strong team collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong natural leadership skills.
- Innovator by nature.
