As a Mental Performance Specialist with Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services, you will deliver the mental performance program to members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). You will provide individual and group performance coaching to enhance and/or sustain their high levels of performance, to help them perform consistently and under considerable stress and adversity.

The Mental Performance Specialist plays an integral role in making the healthy choice the easy choice for Canadian Armed Forces members. In doing so, you will help to ensure that they are mentally and physically ready to sustain the rigours of operations, and live healthy balanced lives.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

Master’s degree in Sports Psychology, Kinesiology, Health Studies or a related field AND some years of experience in Mental Performance coaching

AND

Current Canadian Sports Psychology Association (CPSA) Professional Member

Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification

**Experience**

In planning, organizing, researching, creating and developing mental training programs

In delivering mental training programs

In planning and conducting mental training courses, workshops, presentations and specialized clinics

In determining the effectiveness and efficiency of delivered mental performance training

In development of reports

In presenting reports and findings

**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
English Essential / Bilingual an asset

Reading: Advanced

Writing: Functional

Oral: Advanced
