Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, grooming, and toileting
- Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Assist with patient mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor and report changes in patient health status to the healthcare team
- Provide dementia care and support for patients with memory impairments

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare assistance preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of patient care principles and practices
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
- Familiarity with dementia care and hospice care is a plus
- Certification as a nursing assistant or completion of a nurse aide training program is beneficial

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2024-05-15
