**SUMMARY**:
Serves beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily. This includes requisitioning and stocking of beers, wines, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet
- Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner. Promotes and documents orders for drinks, mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practices prudent portion control
- Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates an invoice for each guest and personnel guests, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served
- Ability to set-up Catering Function Bar set-ups
- Other duties as assigned
- Performs general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products which adhere to health standards, as assigned by your supervisor
- Must adhere to all Provincial, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Ensure all laws are being followed

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior bartending experience required
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- Licenses or certificates: Serving it Right, Food Safe, Bartending
- Must be neat, clean, and always well groomed
- Fully knowledgeable in drink recipes

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**:

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company policy and procedures, and government regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, and the public.
- Ability to deal with challenging guest situations in an effective and positive manner
- Ability to listen to guest’s concerns and find a positive solution

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**:

- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, fractions, ratios, and proportions.

**REASONING ABILITY**:

- Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be able to work independently to achieve team goals.
- Must have a strong ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to details
- Must be able to maintain focus under pressure
