The Town of Innisfil Mobile Seniors Active Living Centre (M-SALC) Instructor will address the needs of an evolving and increasingly active older adult demographic by providing programs essential to healthy aging and mental well-being. The M-SALC optimizes seniors' physical and mental health for healthy, active aging across the town through a mobile delivery method.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, the Mobile Seniors Active Living Centre (M-SALC) Instructor will:

- Support the improvement of recreation and wellness programs and activities for the aging population.
- Instruct and supervise the Mobile Seniors Active Living programming, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Plan and successfully implement programs.
- Provide participants with ongoing feedback.
- Complete participant evaluations as required.
- Maintain excellent customer service and public relations throughout the program.
- Maintain statistical data (e.g., class lists, attendance).

**Duties Include**:

- Implement and evaluate new programs and activities.
- Schedule, and evaluate instructors and presenters for various programs.
- Conduct programming and fitness classes.
- Setup programming areas.
- Maintain accurate sport and fitness program-related statistics and records.
- Act as the representative responsible for communication and conflict resolution with registrants. Resolve escalating situations and refer to the Recreation Coordinator if needed.
- Ensure that Town policies and procedures are followed and enforce safety and operating procedures.
- Support coordination and purchase of program supplies.
- Liaise with community groups and associations; maintain ongoing communication and interaction with external and internal customers to provide the highest level of customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Job RequirementsQualifications and Requirements:

- Minimum of 9 months experience in a given program area
- Teaching experience in a given program area
- Experience teaching and working with the Actively Aging demographic
- Current and valid certifications may be required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification and High Five Training
- HIGH FIVE Principles of Actively Aging would be an Asset.
- Sound knowledge of program planning process and delivery
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal courteously and effectively with all levels of staff, program participants, and the public
- Available to work flexible hours as per program schedules, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday daytime hours.
- Valid “G” license to drive a company vehicle
