Detailed Overview:
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families**:
The Planning Analyst works as part of a team which supports the Fraser Health Executive Team and Board with development and monitoring of organizational plans. The Analyst has primary responsibility for supporting the development and/or updating of strategic documents required by Fraser Health or the Ministry of Health including the Annual Service Plan, Service Plan Report, Corporate Priorities, Objectives and Key Results, and specific accountability plans directed by government and Fraser Health.

The Planning Analyst also provides planning and analytical support for specific planning, strategy and organizational priority initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supports Fraser Health's annual planning processes through the creation, collection, compilation, analysis and synthesis of relevant and required information (e.g., health system policy and planning requirements and issues, population statistics and forecasts, health status, service utilization, etc.).
- Supports corporate planning, monitoring and reporting requirements through analytical and coordination support and the writing and development of briefing material, presentations and reports.
- Collects needed data from Fraser Health program areas and systems and generates accurate and concise periodic and ad hoc reports to support corporate and strategic planning.
- Develops resources, including communication and training guides to support leaders and staff to understand organizational priorities, and to link to corporate plans through the MyJournal system. Guides, trains, and supports leaders in accessing and interpreting relevant planning and information
- Prepares planning analyses and contributes to the development of recommendations to support the strategic decision making processes of the organization.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of the scope of planned change within Fraser Health, through update and analysis of the data in the Change Registry to inform Executive decisions.
- Maintains internal (within Fraser Health) and external contacts with other health authorities and provinces for the purpose of identifying health service issues and trends in health service delivery that may impact strategic plans, program plans and other planning projects and initiatives.
- Development of required presentations and other engagement and communication approaches as required to support this work within and outside of Fraser Health.
- Contributes to project-specific planning and engagement processes as required and determined on an annual basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
