Charlottetown, Canada Sentry: Water Monitoring and Control Full time

**Business Operations Manager**

SENTRY is looking for an ambitious, and dedicated individual to contribute across multiple areas of the business as a Business Operations Manager

This position will work in accounting, administration, operations, and HR to ensure company objectives are achieved.
- Ottawa office, or remotely. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Accountabilities:

- Accounting:_
- Lead full cycle bookkeeping activities including balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement analysis for Sentry and its Parent Co.
- Lead month end close including allocation, accruals, and deferrals while ensuring ASPE standards are maintained.
- Cash flow management and reporting
- Support building out financial models and forecasting
- Support annual strategic planning and budgeting exercises
- Support the compilation, analysis, and commentary of monthly, quarterly, and annual management and investor reports
- Amin/Operations:_
- Project tracking and management (including coordination, and internal and external reporting)
- Salesforce support and analysis
- Evaluate, analyze, recommend, and lead various process improvement initiatives as SENTRY scales operations
- Support new technology integrations
- Point of contact between outsourced tech support and internal needs
- Manage all government filings including HST returns, incorporation registries, and workers compensation boards
- HR:_
- Management and oversight of SENTRY’s payroll and benefits
- Manage all administrative aspects of SENTRY’s ESOP
- Support management during recruitment and hiring efforts
- Provide support as needed as SENTRY builds out its HR function

Skills Required:

- Commitment to Sentry’s mission, vision, and values
- Bachelors’ degree with a Business, Commerce, Finance, or Admin focus
- 3-5 years of experience working in a business environment
- Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on writing
- Multiple languages considered and asset
- Desire for continuous learning and self improvement
- High attention to detail
- Deadline driven
- Comfortable working with new technologies and platforms
- Previous experience working with QuickBooks online an asset
- MBA or CPA education considered an asset

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Charlottetown, PE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Sage: 1 year (preferred)
- financial management: 1 year (preferred)
