**Job Summary**:
The Team Member is responsible for producing product in accordance with Modatek’s policies and procedures, quality management system, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Meet one of the following requirements:

- Postsecondary education in chemistry or mechanical techniques, or
- Minimum 3 years equivalent experience in a waste water, e-coat or maintenance environment, or
- Successful completion of E-coat cross-training
- Must be able and willing to learn new processes (titration & chemical processes, including waste treatment in an e-coat operation)
- Ability to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs
- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills
- Basic Math and English, with proven ability to read and comprehend complex instructions
- Must hold or obtain lift truck license

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
**ECoat-General**
- Conduct daily line start up and shut down procedures (enter and monitor recipe, check tank levels/rinse flows, clear faults, etc.)
- Monitor operational equipment (tanks, cranes, conveyors, change filters, pumps production rate impacts)
- Clearing advanced faults (requiring movement of cranes, conveyors - manual operations)
- Complete scheduled or routine tasks (PM, clean filter press, change filters, etc.), and tasks requested by E-coat Chemical Technician, Engineer or designate
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks (dump/clean tanks, cleaning of conveyor areas etc.)
- Paint tank (Paint level, e-coat anodes, filters, temperature, etc.)
- Complete documentation as required by the department to meet audit specifications
- Ecoat Pre-treatment Lab Validation Report
- Ecoat System Checklist (equipment readings, visual checks, etc)
- Waste water treatment Log Sheet
- Operate the Lift Truck as required
- Stock Control
- Manage Chemical Inventory (receive, log, update system as required)
- Receive bulk chemicals
- Disposal of waste (sludge, empty containers, etc.)

**ECoat - Lab**
- Conduct line and paint tank analyses,
- Line pre-treat tests (conductivity, titrations, solids, pH)
- Perform in-line quality checks and tank quality - visual check, water break, de-scaling, phosphate coverage
- Collect samples and conduct testing on painted products as required (solvent cure, film thickness, adhesion etc.)

**ECoat - Waste Water**
- Perform Daily checks (pH, phosphate, tank levels, polymer, coagulant and flow)
- Make adjustments based on test findings
- Record & resolve issues identified and report in accordance with E-coat Standardized Escalation Plan
- Operate waste water treatment system to meet provincial and federal discharge guidelines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
