**Job Summary**:
Provide decisive leadership to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate all activities related to the Door Shop. Develop and rigorously uphold advanced systems and processes that ensure a highly productive and efficient operation. Implement and enforce the strategic policies and procedures established by Management with precision and integrity.

**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Ensure effective and efficient daily operations of the Door Shop. Maintain accurate associated documents and records of inventory.
- Ensure quality control procedures are maintained and emphasized for continued client satisfaction.
- Ensure stock is stored in correct locations, labelled and communicated to the appropriate staff members or departments.
- Maintain high quality standards of work in the Door Shop. Manage and resolve quality issues or complaints.
- Maintain and continue to develop further metrics to track production numbers by machine and team member for workforce level evaluations; productions limits; and employee recognition.
- Prepare and lead team meetings weekly to maintain clear team communication and provide company information. Agendas for these meeting should be completed in advance with input from Yard Supervisor and include team performance indicators.
- Responsible for all aspects of Door Shop production. Manage maintenance of equipment and ensure cost efficient repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure that a safe and positive work environment and culture is maintained. Ensure team morale is positive.
- Execute and maintain a high level of Health and Safety. Ensure due diligence to prevent incidents, manage risk, perform inspections and correct unsafe behaviors.
- Develop departmental processes to continuously improve operations and standard operating procedures. Maintain current records as changes occur.
- Ensure daily machine inspections are completed and review safe practices.
- Establish proactive staffing needs and schedule manpower to manage workflow.
- While collaborating with HR, conduct new hire interviews and selection.
- While collaborating with HR, establish departmental training needs for new and existing employees. Ensure completed training is documented.
- Minimize overtime and make contributions to cost savings when possible.
- Review and approve employee timesheets and time-off requests.
- Conducts employee performance reviews, probationary reviews, employee coaching and feedback.
- Executes entry level disciplinary matters. Escalates investigations for harassment, violence in the workplace, serious disciplinary matters or other legal risk matters to HR.
- Mentor and council employees constructively and with polished professionalism.
- Observe and adhere to company policies and procedures and ensure that team members abide by the same.
- Recognize team members and reward for positive performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications/Education/Experience**:

- Required: Valid and clean Driver’s License, Forklift Licence.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Door Shop, or equivalent manufacturing operation.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a Door Shop, or equivalent

manufacturing operation.
- Additional credentials in leadership or continuing education will be viewed as an asset
- Certified, or willing to certify in First Aid/CPR.

**Skills**:

- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft, Enterprise Resource Systems. Proven proficiency in advance data collection and analysis may be utilized as a determining factor.
- Strong administration and communication skills to write reports and track metrics. This will include public speaking and potential plant tour obligations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced math skills, read/write ability including but not limited to development of instructions and complete forms.
- An authoritative and strong leader with perceptive insights, astute decision-making skills, and genuine empathy for team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to adapt.
- Showing initiative, coming up with solutions and making decisions. Determining “how”
- rather than “if”.
- Be an approachable and motivational leader that will develop team skills and
- constructively lead. Be seen by others as a respected and trusted leader.
- Consistent ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet timely deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.
- Accepts responsibility and accountability for their role and department.
- Flexible to work additional hours as business needs require.
- Working Environment:

- Work inside in non-climate-controlled door shop.
- The Door Shop Supervisor will have their own workspace with access to a computer and
- necessary software tools.
- May occasionally be required to work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat
- to extreme cold.
