**POSITION TITLE**:Product **Engineering Manager - Vehicle Systems**

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**_ Technical Leadership and Mentorship_**
- Lead a team of engineers responsible for the architecture, definition, and validation of vehicle control systems across 30+ vehicle classes and advanced technology features.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and refine control system architectures leveraging Ethernet and CAN protocols, including CANOpen and J1939, to enable efficient communication, data processing, and integration across vehicle systems.
- Specify and evaluate LiDAR, radar, and other perception sensors for autonomy readiness, ensuring compatibility with control system architectures and seamless integration into vehicle and off-vehicle communication networks.
- Risk Assessment and Safety Concept Development:_
- Lead the development of risk assessments and safety concepts compliant with ISO 13849 or ISO 19296, ensuring functional safety requirements are identified and documented.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define safety-critical functions and risk reduction measures.
- Change Control & Impact Analysis:_
- Define, document, and maintain system requirements using Polarion or DOORS. Manage requirement changes through structured workflows in Polarion/DOORS, analyzing impacts on design, testing, and implementation.
- Ensure traceability across all project phases, from high-level stakeholder requirements to system validation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve conflicts and maintain alignment.
- Verification & Validation:_
- Establish test cases linked to requirements within the tool to ensure coverage and compliance.
- Regularly review and update verification statuses, ensuring readiness for audits or reviews**.**:

- Oversee the creation of verification artifacts (e.g., fault tree analyses, FMEAs) and validation tests, ensuring they align with safety integrity requirements (e.g., PLr, SIL levels).
- Use computational tools to validate reliability metrics, including MTTFd and DCavg, for system components.
- Functional Safety Documentation and Compliance Management:_
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, configurations, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, data protection standards, and industry best practices.
- Own the development and maintenance of safety-related work products, including Safety Requirements Specifications (SRS) and Safety Validation Plans, using structured tools like Polarion or DOORS.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance by providing evidence of conformity through rigorous documentation and traceability.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with the job responsibilities and duties described above.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages, primarily Spanish and French, is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related field is an asset.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or similar certification is an asset.
