Control Panel Assembler

**Summary**:Perform general assembly of mechanical and/or electronic subassemblies and products as directed by supervisor.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Assembly and wiring of control cabinets as per electrical drawings
- Assemble, wire, mount different components in control boxes/panel back plates. Involves wiring, crimping working with wire harnesses.
- Read and work from engineering drawings and schematics to determine assembly procedures
- Manually assemble mechanical and/or electronic components.
- Use tools to make or repair parts and products.
- Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions.
- Work with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products at takt rate
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures.
- Use reason to solve problems as they arise and identify areas for improvement.
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
- Maintain supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies.
- Verify and inspect the final assembly of products to ensure their quality.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

**Knowledge Skills, and Abilities**:

- Proven experience as assembler.
- Skilled with mechanics.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
- Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
- Skilled with mechanics.
- Good understanding of quality control principles.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
- Respect the instructions given by the supervisor
- Maintain good interpersonal relationships

**Qualifications**
- Understanding of electrical principals
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Strong analytical/ troubleshooting skills and a keen attention to detail
- Diploma in electrical or industrial automation is required
