**Position Summary**:
Process payroll in accordance with Timber Baron’s pay schedule, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all data. Process new hires, terminations, deductions, and T4s as necessary.

Process all vendor and employee expense payments via cheque or EFT using Sage accounting software. Ensure appropriate approvals and interact with vendors and employees to obtain required documentation.

**Qualifications required**:

- Business related experience or education
- Payroll and accounts payable experience
- Maintain high degree of confidentiality
- Windows and Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting systems

**Essential functions and responsibilities - Payroll**:

- Process payroll in accordance with pay schedule
- Manage Sage payroll system (i.e. verify time-keeping data entry from employees to ensure accuracy)
- Maintain accurate and complete payroll records
- Answer payroll questions and resolve errors
- Update payroll and time-keeping systems for new hires, terminations, promotions, compensation changes, etc.
- Complete all payroll reports - payroll deductions, T4s, WCB remittances
- Complete surveys and audits as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work with management to implement new processes and gain efficiencies

**Essential functions and responsibilities - Accounts Payable**:

- Ensure all accounts payable invoices have the necessary authorization and supporting documentation
- Adhere to accounts payable deadlines to avoid late fees
- Code invoices with the correct General Ledger expense account numbers
- File all Accounts Payable related documents and maintain vendor files in an organized manner

**Additional position details**:

- This position is part-time with a flexible schedule
- Compensation will be based on experience

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Terrace, BC V8G 1S6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Payroll: 1 year (preferred)
