Looking for rewarding summer job? United for Literacy is hiring a **Camp Counselor** to plan and deliver summer camp programming for children ages 5-12 in Millbrook First Nation.

**Term**:8-week summer internship

**Employment Start Date**:Week of July 2 or July 8

**Hourly wage**:$16.75

**Hours of Work**: 35 hours/week

The Camp Counselor will work with a team of summer staff to plan programming activities, and work in-person alongside community staff to deliver programming. The summer camp programming is designed to help children have fun while learning during the summer months and to help them return to school ready and confident to succeed in September. Activities will include learning opportunities for children around reading, writing, STEM, physical activity, and culture.

The Camp Counselor will assist with designing, planning, organizing, delivering, and evaluating the summer camp programming. Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of employment, and must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have been granted refugee status in Canada.

Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
