Quality Auditor

Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have design, mold, paint, assembly and testing capabilities. Tiercon manages 5 sites across 2 cities employing approximately 550 people throughout Canada. Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Quality Auditor at our 591 Arvin Ave. Stoney Creek facility.

Job Summary & Reporting Structure:
Reporting to the Assistant Quality Manager, the Quality Auditor is to audit and inspect production process for proper adherence to pre-assigned quality requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspection of parts, process and assembly
- Reaction Mode: Escalation of quality issued as directed.
- Follow the containment process
- Identify and Report scrap product
- Participate in the SCAR process as required.
- Participate in Fast Response Meetings as required.
- Conduct Layered Audits of work areas as scheduled and take appropriate action.
- Colour match to standard
- Fit to gauge/fixture
- Match to appearance standard boundary samples
- Packaging and label checks
- Assist in production reject analysis
- Assist with trials when required
- Assist production supervisor with ongoing quality issues, reject rate causes and instructions to operators including quality alerts caused by customer complaints
- Calibrating Inspectors / Operators verify inspector/ operator knowledge
- Provide documented verification of quality audits per part number/shift basis
- Assist with implementation, ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 responsibilities as per ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 Quality Manual.
- Training of inspectors / operators on quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and keep updated all quality areas including boundary sample boards, auditing areas and fixture areas

Qualifications:

- Grade 12 or 2 years College in Quality / Manufacturing / Engineering related field or equivalent experience is an asset
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience, automotive experience preferred
- Analytical skills, Data driven
- Effective communication
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
- Demonstrated working knowledge of hand tools and gauging equipment
- Attention to detail
- Capable of working all shifts.
