Cytotechnologist Ii

**Major Functions and Responsibilities**
- Performs regular duties of a Cytotechnologist I and maintains technical skill level required for department.
- Provides technical support to all staff within department.
- Functions as Laboratory Information System resource to department.
- Assist with the develop of policies and procedures.
- Responsible for overseeing changes to policies and procedures and ensuring staff and internal/external clients are made aware of changes.
- Follows-up and monitors critical incident reports.
- Monitors and oversees orientation and training of staff and internal/external clients.
- Delegates, monitors and performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment.
- Evaluates and modifies new methodologies and equipment.

Required Experience
- Recent Cytology experience is required.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Medical Laboratory Cytotechnologist with current CMLTA registration is required.
- Five years’ experience in Cytology is required.

**Other Information**
- Preference for this position will be given to bargaining unit members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the DynaLIFE/HSAA Collective Agreement.
- As workload demands and operational requirements shift, the location, dates and/or hours of work may be changed
