We are looking for a casual Health Care Aide to join our team at Garneau Hall Seniors Community.

**As a Health Care Aide, you will**:

- Provide resident-focused care in a home-like environment, respecting the individual and dignity of each resident/family and co-workers
- Participate in all aspects of personal resident care to ensure the physical, psychological, and social needs of the resident/family are met
- Establish communication and a working relationship with residents/families and co-workers for the purpose of meeting the resident needs
- Deliver effective and efficient care under the direction of the supervisor that promotes resident/family choice and acknowledges the resident's strengths, limitations, as well as their need for safety and safety of others
- Assist with serving meals, feeding, and providing nourishment supplements
- Respond to any resident in need regarding call bells, telephone ringing, and assisting any employee in need of help
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing and other personal hygiene activities
- Participate in continuous quality improvement
- Creates a facility environment that protects confidentiality of residents, staff, and activities of the community

**What you bring**:

- Health Care Aide certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- CPR/BCLS for healthcare provider required
- Demonstrated skills in communication, teamwork, organization, and customer service
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to person-centered care
- Ability to problem solve through critical thinking
- Enthusiastic attitude and energy to provide excellent care and service on behalf of the company
