Concession Worker

**Job Summary**:
Under the direction of the Concession Lead Hand, the Concession Worker prepares and serves food from retail food outlets according to standardized procedures.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Opens and closes the outlets according to standard procedures;
- Collects, safeguards, and returns change “float” for designated outlets;
- Counts and reports daily sales, accounts for all sales, and prepares funds for deposit with the Treasury Assistant;
- Prepares food, cleans utensils and equipment, and reports equipment malfunctions;
- Takes and fills food orders in exchange for the proper amount of money, makes correct change as necessary;
- Provides friendly, courteous service and information to visitors;
- Other duties as required.

**Education and Experience**:

- At least High School Diploma;
- Previous seasonal experience in a Heritage Park food outlet would be an asset.

**Skills**:
Enthusiasm, dependability, and good organizational skills are essential. Good mental arithmetic skills are also necessary. Tact and good verbal communication skills are required. Fluency in English is essential.

**Special Clothing and Equipment**:
This is a costumed position with costume(s) provided by Heritage Park. Appropriate footwear as designated by the Costume Room of Heritage Park will be provided by the employee.

**Special Working Conditions**:
Exposure to all types of weather conditions should be expected.
