AECOM is looking for Mechanical Technician to join the Buildings + Places group to be based in Edmonton, AB. We’re one global team - over 50,000 strong - driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Job Summary: You will be working with a team of engineers, EIT’s, CAD/BIM technicians, technologists, and project managers will deliver high-quality and important buildings in the B+P sector. Here you will also have an opportunity to collaborate on multidisciplinary teams including architects and structural, electrical, and civil engineers.Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Designing and drafting of plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systemsConstruction administration duties, such as shop drawing review, RFI response, construction inspection, and respond to client questions.Preparation of deliverables and products such as load calculations, specifications, and cost estimates related to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial, institutional and light industrial facilitiesCoordinating with the design of other disciplinesPerforming field investigation for incorporation of existing conditions into construction documents.Performing drafting assignments utilizing CAD or 3d modeling software; preparation of plans, sections, elevations, details, and construction documents for review and approvalParticipating in the Quality Review process with the responsible Engineer and Lead VerifierAssisting with working within a project team environment and possess good communication skills.
