- You will be responsible for accounting work of a technical and complex nature for the City and related entities, such as: maintenance of general ledger accounts, account reconciliations and analysis, general accounting transactions, year-end accounting and preparation of various financial and government reports and statements, recovery of shared costs, GST/PST reports, review of grant claims for compliance with agreements, reviewing and evaluating data and processes needed to support financial reporting, providing guidance and direction on accounting procedures and problems, and supporting the implementation of new and/or revised financial systems.**Requirements**:

- You will also liaise with departments to provide guidance on accounting issues, explain financial information, and prepare financial reports and related materials for senior management, Council, and the public. Your excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, together with your proven interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships will ensure success in this position.
- Completion of the 12th grade and successful completion of three years in a recognized professional accounting course and sound related experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.**Compensation**
- $34.96 - $41.16 per hour- (Pay Grade 22 - January 2021 rates)**Hours of Work**
- The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately each three-week scheduling cycle.**Additional Information**How to Apply**
