**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as digging, trenching, grading, loading, and lifting in accordance with project requirements.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and address any maintenance issues before starting work.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of project plans, blueprints, and specifications to execute tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with ground crews and other team members to coordinate work activities and ensure project progress according to schedule.
- Excavate and grade surfaces to precise specifications, maintaining proper slopes, depths, and dimensions as indicated by project plans.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including lubrication, fueling, and minor repairs, and promptly report any mechanical issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and others on the job site.
- Operate equipment in a responsible manner, avoiding damage to equipment, property, and the surrounding environment.
- Assist in the movement and placement of construction materials, including rocks, soil, and debris.
- Monitor and manage fuel and material usage to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, including work performed, equipment usage, and maintenance tasks.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as an Excavator Operator, with a strong track record of safe and effective equipment operation.
- Valid and relevant operator certifications and licenses, as required by local regulations and industry standards.
- Proficiency in operating various types of heavy equipment, especially Mini
- Excavators, with the ability to handle different attachments and accessories.
- Solid understanding of construction plans & specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to address minor equipment issues on-site.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to maneuver equipment accurately.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Physical fitness and endurance to perform tasks in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility for equipment maintenance and care.
- Problem-solving skills to adapt to unexpected challenges and changing job site conditions.
