**Responsibilities**:

- Taking a structured, well-organized approach to field data and observations with a focus on accuracy
- Conducting biological surveys, including but not limited to surveys for nesting birds, grassland birds, boreal birds, sharp-tailed grouse leks, burrowing owl, short-eared owl, common nighthawk, amphibians (auditory and visual), snake hibernacula, bats, rare vascular plants, weeds, etc.
- Completing environmental desktop screenings and various reports (e.g., As-built, Technical Proposal, Linear Project Proposal)
- Assisting with environmental monitoring and communication with Contractors during project construction
- Supporting interactions with Clients and regulatory agencies.
**Skills / Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecology, or Environmental Science/Management or Diploma in Integrated Resource Management, Environmental Science/Resources or similar program.
- 1 or more years of professional environmental experience.
- Flexibility to work a variety of schedules (days / nights) in a range of weather conditions is required for this role
- Ability to go to the field (or a site) for up to a week at a time is required for this role
- Experience with wildlife and/or vegetation species identification, biological surveys and associated survey protocols.
- Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience using GPS handheld units to navigate and to capture data.
- Experience with proposal writing and budget maintenance.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Experience with impact assessment and associated reporting, and mitigation and compensation planning are an asset.
- Class 5 Driver's License valid for use in Saskatchewan
- Experience with ArcGIS is an asset.
