Casual Respite Care Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Respite Worker to support a child with special needs during their morning school routine. This subcontracting position involves assisting the child with self-care routines, including lifting and transferring as necessary. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the child's safety and well-being while facilitating their transition onto the school bus.
**Position: Casual/Subcontract**
**Availability Required: 3x a week for 2 hours, starting at 7 am.**
- Responsibilities:_
- Provide support to the child with self-care routines
- Assist with lifting and transferring the child
- Ensure the child's safety during the morning routine
- Help the child get on the school bus
- Maintain a nurturing and empathetic approach at all times
- Requirements:_
- Minimum one year of experience supporting children with special needs
- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Work, Personal Support Work, or a related field
- Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs
- Location at Lakeshore and Cawthra, Mississauga
- Availability required in the mornings, starting approximately at 7:00 AM.
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Clear police check and vulnerable sector screening
**As a subcontractor, it is recommended to have WSIB or insurance coverage**
