Maintenance Technician

_**Summary**:_ Responsible for the maintenance upkeep and preventative maintenance programs of all equipment.
- **Job Duties**_**:

- Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures to buildings, equipment and utility systems, to maintain the overall functionality of the facility.
- To perform preventative, predictive and diagnostic maintenance on production, packaging, and facility equipment.
- To participate in developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program for the facility and the equipment.
- Creation, participation and/or development of improvements to eliminate waste, which may include lean manufacturing and 5S principals
- Will be on call to respond to equipment breakdowns both major and minor, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
- Timely execution of projects and work from the task list.
- To follow-up on all work orders to ensure completion and that the repair has met our quality standards.
- To resolve machine problems with effective troubleshooting using internal and external support systems.
- Documentation of all work performed using maintenance tracking systems and/or technical reports.
- Research and procurement of new materials, parts and supplies to improve equipment.
- **Required Knowledge/Qualifications**_**:

- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, and devices
- Support operations department as a service provider
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

- Working in Warehouse/production environment
- May be required to work outside during repairs and for preventative maintenance requirements
