***: The Buyer/Material Coordinator is responsible for buying and coordinating electrical and instrumentation parts and material.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines, supporting safety initiatives and contributing to a safe work environment in the warehouse.
- Coordinate material required for jobs and sales orders.
- Develops and maintains positive professional working relationships with external and internal customers.
- Prepare quotes for customers and internal sales, including research and ultimate procurement.
- Verify and inspect incoming material against receiving paper documentation work order numbers ensuring accuracy and proper processing.
- Prepares and issues purchase orders.
- Enters materials, tools, equipment requests via GP Dynamics.
- RMA processing.
- Proper shipping and receiving of materials including loading and unloading various types of freight from incoming shipments, uploading of shipping and receiving documentation.
- Engage in daily receiving/warehousing/shipping operations and communicate problems.
- Perform inventory cycle counts, ensuring accuracy levels are maintained per policy and procedures.
- Manage the material movement between vendor and customer/field tech by employing the most effective and economic solutions.
- Arranging transfer of materials to meet scheduling requirements.
- Stage orders according to job location.
- Reviews intercompany inventories to fulfill orders internally where possible.
- Performing purchasing duties as needed.
- Provide administrative and back-up support for office staff as needed.

**Preferred Education/Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime if required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and a physical test.
- Previous experience operating industrial(warehouse) material handling equipment, including forklifts, is required.
- Proficient with MS Office such as Excel, Outlook, Word.
- Previous experience in electrical and instrumentation parts supply or electrical wholesale is preferred.
- Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains ERP system experience would be an asset.
- Experience in parts inventory management and warehousing would be an asset.
- Experience preparing, organizing and contributing to competitive tenders would be an asset.

**Physical Strain**:

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
- Some travel may be required.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
