**Assistant Superintendent (Live - Out)**

The Superintendent is responsible for the performance of maintenance,
preventative maintenance, housekeeping and repair duties while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and customer service.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
Performs housekeeping responsibilities, as required, to maintain a clean and operational building by:

- Ensure cleanliness of common areas & hallways
- Complete work orders and perform minor maintenance tasks
- Monitor and assist as needed with Grounds maintenance and Snow removal duties
- Completion and recording of assigned housekeeping tasks.

**Maintain a high level of resident relations by**:

- Maintain positive relations with residents
- Always ensure resident safety and security
- Respond appropriately and professionally to emergencies
- Address resident concerns effectively and promptly

**General**:

- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Able to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Able to complete tasks on time with mínimal supervision.
- Available to work mornings and evenings, plus weekends, as needed.
- Available for an on-call schedule every second weekend for emergencies.
- Maintain accurate maintenance, safety, cleaning logs as required by the City of Ottawa
- Ensures work carried out is in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the work
- Performs other related duties consistent with the duties outlined above assigned by Condo Manager or Building Representative

**Experience**:
Minimum two (2) years of related experience

**Personal Suitability**:

- Must be in good physical condition and ability to perform related physical work. Ability to work various schedules.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- A satisfactory reference check, criminal records clearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be energetic and willing to work as part of a team

**Work Location**:In person

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $43,000.00 per year

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2023-12-01
