Drafting Manager

**General description**:
Plans, directs, coordinates and controls activities of custom designed manufacturing project to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Supervise department and drafters
- Attend PM to drafting hand over
- Schedule drafters work according to Company's priorities
- Support drafters in their work (questions etc.)
- Verify and mark-up all drafter Millwork drawings after uploading to Fieldwire for PM green lines
- Update drafting reports for Millwork (drafting Schedule)
- Analyze all drafting Work orders received from PM's
- Review Red line demands of pm before assigning the work to drafters
- Work closely with Project managers in the preparation of the production drawings and collaborate with the production facility managers in creating complex drawings
- Request RCO/CO numbers from PM's for extras to contract generated from the AAN drawings
- Check budgeted drafting hours
- Conduct disciplinary action in the department
- Ensure a good working environment in the department
- Participate in the Drafting Standards Library
- Offer a fast, accurate and professional service to the PM & the production facility
- Continual Cost Savings in the department
- Conduct monthly meeting within the department for continual amelioration and participate in meetings with company management team.

**Qualifications**:

- More than 10 years of experience of relevant experience in architectural millwork drawings
- Must be well organized
- Solid supervision and communication skills
- Good knowledge of Inventor is an asset
- English and French
