Bridge Literacy is an organization that focuses on providing academic supports to students in need. We are located in the Greater Toronto Area. Our goal is to build confident learners through our programs. We strive to address the gaps often seen amongst students today due to various factors included but not limited to, socio-economic status, ethnicity, or limited access to support at school. We provide tutoring services, and partner with parents to implement strategies to build their child's confidence in their ability to learn.

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and academic growth. Our summer tutoring program focuses on preparing students for returning to school in September. If you have a passion for education and enjoy working with students, we welcome you to apply.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet student's needs and prepare them for the next grade based on curriculum expectations
- Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions
- Create engaging and interactive learning activities, with an emphasis on engaging games
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to help keep students engaged
- Ability to communicate effectively with students of various ages
- Familiarity with learning technology and curriculum development
- Strong skills in lesson planning and educational strategies
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings
- Ability to educate and inspire students toward academic excellence

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 4 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
