Fertilizer Tower Operator

**Overview**

Lakeside Grain & Feed Limited is a joint venture partner with The Agronomy Company of Canada and is a leading supplier of crop input products for producers across Ontario. The group at Lakeside Grain & Feed Limited is looking for a self-driven and eager individual to join our growing team as a Fertilizer Tower Operator.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide prompt, efficient, and professional service to customers
- Loads/unloads fertilizer warehouse, tanks, trucks, and spreaders with dry fertilizer
- Blends fertilizer by operating dry blending equipment & computer software systems
- Assists in maintaining equipment to ensure its in good working order
- Performs minor repairs on equipment, facility, yard, and assists in preventative maintenance
- Maintains cleanliness of work area, warehouse, and yard
- Assist customers with product pickup & loading
- Oversee computerized blending of fertilizer

- Willingness to work flexible hours as required during the season
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, operating loader with daily climbing & working from heights required
- Willingness to learn equipment operation & program software
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Effective time management skills & ability to multitask
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions

**Qualifications**
- Valid G driver’s license (DZ an asset)
- Clean driving record
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Good mechanical skills
- Farm or equipment operation background preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a team environment; is cooperative with other team members and shows willingness to assist or train others
- Ability to be a self-starter; high level of initiative
- Ability to work in fast paced demanding environment
- Ability to work from heights & climb daily (certification training provided)

**Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
