Heritage Family Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Lead Worker to join our team. This role involves working with children and youth in care through a trauma-informed lens, developing strong interpersonal relationships, and providing leadership within a safe and supportive environment. Hours of Work - Schedule (3 on 3 off 12 hour shifts)

**Key Responsibilities**:
Build and maintain trusting relationships while respecting individual differences.

Ensure a safe and secure environment for youth by following security protocols, discouraging them from leaving without permission, and maintaining emotional stability.

Lead shifts by offering guidance, coaching, and support to clients and staff.

Oversee daily routines and youth-centered programming.

Assist with meal preparation.

Celebrate and support the self-concept of youth in care.

Advocate for each child/youth and ensure access to resources like the Child and Youth Advocate.

Create a caring and nurturing environment that aligns with the emotional needs of youth.

Support the development of life skills, including social information processing, cognitive reframing, and self-regulation learning.

**Qualifications**:
A minimum of a two-year Diploma in Human Services or a related field.

At least three years of relevant experience working with children or youth.

Must be over the age of 18.

Pre-employment screening, including:
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.

Child Intervention Check.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Driver’s Abstract (fewer than 6 demerits).

Proficiency in therapeutic care and the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) model.

Strong understanding of child development, trauma, grief, and loss.

Recognition of Indigenous traditions and a commitment to culturally appropriate care.

Respect for diverse backgrounds, identities, and gender expressions, with an understanding of inclusive language.

Ability to communicate and work effectively across cultures, particularly with marginalized groups.
