Shape Foods, Inc. is currently looking for a **Maintenance Technician**

**Who we are**: Shape Foods is a leading manufacturer of high-quality Flax products. Our 70,000 sq. foot BRC Certified production facility which is located in Brandon MB. is uniquely focused on flax seed-based Omega-3 production and development which allows us to be a leader in the industry.

This role is part of our Day Shift which runs from 7:45 am to 4:15 PM, Monday-Friday.

We offer a benefits program after completion of a 90-day Probationary Program.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete maintenance orders
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or installations
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs

**Skills**:

- Strong technical knowledge and experience in maintenance and repair work
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
¨ Ability to Perform moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; reaching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and standing for prolonged periods of time (8-hour shifts)¨ -Mechanically inclined
- advanced understanding of mechanical system

¨ Ability to troubleshoot issues with industrial equipment - Gear box oil levels, oil seal replacements, electric motor installations and replacements, HVAC and air compressor filter changes etc.

¨ Operate forklift (training provided)

¨ Good communication skills, both verbal and in writing

¨ Computer skills

¨ Ability to work independently and within a Team

¨ Welding experience will be an asset but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and facilities, as well as providing timely repairs and maintenance support.
