Logistics Coordinator

First year base wages between $44000 to $50000 with opportunities to increase this amount.

This is not a commission based job yet there are performance bonuses. This is not a remote location position, all employees are required to work in our corporate office.

The Logistics Coordinator will work to provide various levels of support to dispatch requirements. This role will facilitate and monitor for effective communication, both internally with the opertation's team and directly with driver's/carriers based on shipping requirements. They will collaborate with various departments to ensure that all contractual requirements are reviewed, acknowledged, and supported.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery are on time.
- Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments for customer orders
- Communicate regularly with driver's and carriers to build long-term, trusted relationships.
- Build and track freight loads (FTL and LTL, expedite) in our Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Negotiate pricing and complete routings with all the appropriate documents to provide to our clients.
- Maximize brokerage coverage by developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and suppliers.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations for over-the-road and shipments moving internationally.

**Job Requirements**
- Successful completion of post-secondary studies
- Ability to be flexible and work extended hours as required.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
