**Summary**:
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Swamper is responsible for hydro-excavating underground utility line exposure, slot trenching and soft digging while working with the Hydrovac Operator and site Foreman.

**Job Duties Responsibilities**:

- Follow directions and perform a variety of physical tasks
- Assist Operators
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by general clean-up of site and equipment
- Work as a spotter anytime truck is backing up or when operating near overhead lines
- Report any equipment hazards or issues
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Previous construction experience is an asset
- Willing and able to travel out-of-town/province on a 21-day on, 7-day off shift is required several times a year
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, with a willingness to work in remote sites in adverse weather conditions (hot/humid, rain, snow, winter)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills
- Work well with others
- Safety-first attitude
- Provide: Hard hat, High Vis Vest, Steel-toed safety boots

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
