**Position Summary**:
The Paint Superintendent plans, prioritizes, coordinates, and directs the work of the paint team. They will manage workloads and lead the paint team to ensure all work is completed on time and meets quality standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee multiple projects and their work scopes, balancing manpower, equipment, and other resources between projects based on factors such as project priorities/deadlines, inter-trade scheduling of work, and weather conditions
- Work hand in hand with the Project Management team, offering feedback on the planning/scheduling of work, manpower requirements, equipment requirements, and safety requirements
- Communicate with various internal/external stakeholders such as Production, Project Management, clients, subcontractors, inspectors, etc.
- Recording and tracking weather and/ or atmospheric conditions
- Preparing project quality documents as well as inspection and test plans and procedures
- Overseeing daily inspection of coating activities; monitoring overcoat window
- Maintaining the equipment used for coating work
- Controlling and maintaining paint supply inventory
- Manage proper waste disposal for the paint department
- Manage the performance of all direct reports
- Working with HR to correct any attendance issues/patterns
- Developing skillsets and job knowledge, identifying key performers and recommending promotions/increases in responsibilities
- Regularly attend and participate in supervisor meetings, providing progress reports on projects, bringing up safety issues/concerns, and provide manpower surpluses/deficits
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- 5+ years experience as a coatings manager
- 5+ years experience working in the Marine industry
- NACE Level 2 or European Equivalent (i.e. FROSIO)
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
