**Warehouse Assistant Manager**

**The Company**: Viscofan Canada is part of the International Viscofan Group which is the world leader in casings for meat products with distribution in more than 100 countries around the world. Casings are an essential ingredient for the food sector when producing sausages, frozen meat and other foods.

**The position**: Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager and of the Inventory Controller, the Warehouse Supervisor will direct day-to-day operations in the warehouse. He/she will plan, organize, direct and participate in warehouse operations and activities.

**Shift**: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00PM

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Organize and optimize stock positions by shifting according to FEFO/FIFO.
- Plan, organize, and participate in warehouse operations and activities, alongside the warehouse manager.
- Ensure quality work performance by warehouse team members.
- Promote, comply with, actively participate in, and advocate the importance of safety to help maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Report all safety issues.
- Ensure effective space management.
- Optimize stock availability.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Able to use forklift.
- Help coordinate inventory cycle counts, investigations as needed to correct discrepancies.
- Work under BRCGS to ensure warehouse processes are compliant with regulations.

**Education**:
Completion of secondary school is preferred.

**Experience/Skills**:
Minimum of two (2) years previous active warehousing experience.

SAP (inventory management software) experience is an asset.

Excellent attention to detail and organization.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Must be flexible on work hours and able to work overtime and weekends as required.

**Salary**: $50 000 to $55 000 according to profile and experience

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
