Material Hander

**Material Handler / Shipper - Nights**:
**At TC Transcontinental, we’ve got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team.** We are currently looking for a _full-time Material Handler / Shipper_ to support production at our Halifax, NS plant. As an essential member of the shipping department team, you will primarily support the post Press department in material handing, shipping and receiving duties.

**When your actions lead to success.**
- Organizing, moving customer product and materials to and from the post press department.
- Allocating, setting up or removing of pallets/cages etc.
- loading and unloading material.
- Wrapping and strapping pallets.
- As required, record inserts when they arrive.
- Organizing loads for shipments, loading trailers etc.
- Cross train to support shipping department operations.
- Inspect and receive pallets of product - load transport trucks.
- Complete daily pre-use inspections, all checks and maintenance of material handling equipment.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner following all safety rules, procedures and policies.
- Ensure continuous communication with press teams, other departments and coworkers.
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment.

**When your expertise drives us.**
- 1-2 years forklift and/or clamp truck driver experience (current or prior license).
- Experience in Manufacturing environment.
- Safety first attitude.
- Expert experience with manual/electric pallet jacks
- Flexibility, adaptable team player with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and can take initiative.
- Strong computer skills
