Dining Room Supervisor ensures that residents and guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. Monitors setup, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of Dining area. This position oversees and trains the Dietary Aid Staff to City View Retirement standards of excellence. Dining Room Supervisor enforces all City View policies and procedures, and reports directly to the Food Service Supervisor.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The following duties and tasks described are a guideline for the Dining Room Supervisor to follow, but not limited to those described and may, at the discretion of the Owner be expanded upon.
- Anticipate resident/guest needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
- Maintain communication with, and supports the Food Service Supervisor.
- Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, and floors for proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety, and takes immediate action to correct any issues.
- Manage the “guest meal” reservation protocol.
- Provide direction and support to dining room staff to maintain service standards.
- Ensure dining room supplies are stocked daily and inform Food Service Supervisor of any shortages of items needing a reorder.
- Interview, document and train new hires in service standards and routines, menu items and all resident nutritional profiles.
- Act as an initial contact with the Food Service Supervisor for performance requirements on dining room staff. Assure that actions are consistent and accurate.
- Review daily and weekly event functions with the Food Service Supervisor.
- Lead to achieve desired results in high quality service and experience for all residents and guests.
- Complete scheduling for the dining room staff at least two weeks in advance of posting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT**:
To continually attain broader knowledge of the retirement industry as it relates to seniors; and to strive to improve leading, teaching skills and problem assessment and resolution.
- Keep abreast of current trends and developments in the Residential Care Industry, and the care of residents as it relates to the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to the residents of City View Retirement.
- Seek and recommend available educational opportunities.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
Exposure to all resident activities through regular resident contact. Available at all times to participate in Resident Town Hall meetings. Stress from constant need to handle interruptions during the workday by residents or staff. Stress from dealing with the need to lead staff and residents within legislative, budgetary, and time constraints. Regular stress from dealing with residents and staff who may be in emotional distress themselves. Standing, walking for extended periods of time, requiring general good health.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
