**Position**: Specialty Camp Counsellor

**Overview**:As a Specialty Camp Counsellor at Camp KidsTown, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience for campers within our specialized program. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for [specialty area, Robotics, 3D Printing, Arts, Media, Sports, Science, Dance, Crafts] who are enthusiastic, responsible, and eager to inspire young campers.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Supervision and Guidance**:Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all camp activities related to the specialty area. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, ensuring campers feel welcome and included.

**Teaching and Skill Development**:Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, workshops, and lessons related to the specialty area. Assist campers in developing their skills and knowledge in the specialty area.

**Mentoring and Leadership**:Serve as a positive role model for campers, demonstrating good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. Promote character development, leadership, and personal growth among campers.

**Teamwork**:Collaborate with fellow counsellors and camp staff to create a cohesive and engaging camp experience.

**Safety and Emergency Response**:Be knowledgeable about camp safety protocols and emergency procedures. Act responsibly in case of emergencies and ensure the well-being of campers.

**Qualifications**:

- Enthusiasm for the [specialty area, e.g., arts, sports, science] and a desire to share this passion with campers.
- Experience working with children, such as previous camp counseling, coaching, or teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities and the capacity to be a positive role model.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it before camp starts).
- Criminal Background Check (18+)

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

**Salary**: $16.55 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

Work Location: In person
