Head Cashier

**Reporting to the Grocery Manager, the Head Cashier is responsible for providing leadership to all front-end employees, delivering world-class customer service, operating cash registers, and taking payment from customers. Responsibilities also include assisting with merchandising and displaying packaged products and maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards.**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge POS systems, cashier procedures, duties related to customer transactions, cash handling, and service desk
- Prepare work schedules within an Advanced Scheduling System
- Tech Savvy, with the ability to adapt to new technology
- Attention to detail
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- Superior mentoring skills and a demonstrated ability to foster the engagement and development of direct reports, challenge and stretch Team Members in meaningful ways, and build a strong, agile team
- Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on employee engagement
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

Availability: Days, evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call as required
