Day & Ross cherche actuellement à embaucher des travailleurs de quai pour aider à équilibrer les demandes actuelles. En tant que travailleur de quai, vous serez un membre important de l’équipe et veillerez à ce que les exigences des clients soient respectées, tout en protégeant les marchandises contre les dommages.  De plus, vous serez responsable de la manutention adéquate des marchandises entrantes et sortantes, tout en maintenant un environnement de travail sécuritaire et propre.

**Comment vous aiderez**
- Déplacer et manipuler des marchandises volumineuses et encombrantes dans un environnement de quai.
- Conduire un chariot élévateur à fourche dans des zones encombrées.
- Assurer la conformité avec le TMD, le SIMDUT, les politiques et/ou procédures de l'entreprise et les exigences spécifiques du client.
- Utiliser les techniques de manutention appropriées pour s'assurer que les marchandises des clients sont protégées contre les dommages.
- S'assurer que toutes les marchandises entrantes et sortantes sont reçues et expédiées avec précision et efficacité, conformément aux procédures de l'entreprise.
- Organiser et diriger les marchandises entrantes et sortantes vers les remorques de transport urbain et de transport de ligne (linehaul).
- Autres tâches selon les besoins

**Vos compétences et votre expérience**:

- Diplôme d'études secondaires ou DEG.
- Certification valide de chariot élévateur à fourche
- Une expérience antérieure dans le domaine du transport ou des quais est préférable
- Volonté et capacité de soulever jusqu'à 75 lb.
- Compétences informatiques de base
- Être motivé(e) et avoir le sens de la sécurité.
- Travailler en collaboration dans un environnement d'équipe
- Travailler efficacement avec peu ou pas de supervision
- Capacité à travailler selon des quarts de travail, y compris les soirs et les fins de semaine, et à alterner les heures de début et de fin de quart.

Forklift Operator

Available Shift: Flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, and weekends

Day & Ross is currently looking to hire **Forklift Operators** to help balance current demands. As a Forklift Operator, you will be a valued member of the team by ensuring that customer requirements are being met, with a focus on protecting freight from damage. As well, you will be responsible for ensuring proper handling of inbound and outbound freight, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

**How You’ll Help**
- Move and handle large and cumbersome freight in a dock environment
- Operate a forklift in congested areas
- Ensure compliance with TDG, WHMIS, company policies and/or procedures, and customer specific requirements
- Utilize proper handling techniques to ensure customer’s freight is protected from damage
- Ensure all inbound and outbound freight is accurately and efficiently received and shipped in accordance with company procedures.
- Organize and direct inbound and outbound freight to city and linehaul trailers
- Other duties as required

**Your Skills & Experience**:

- High school diploma of GED
- Previous transportation or dock experience is preferred
- Willingness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Self-motivated and possess a safety-first mindset
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
- Work efficiently with little to no supervision
- The working environment will include physical labour (bending, crouching, etc.), loud machinery, and operating a Forklift in a congested area.
