Burlington, Canada Best Western Plus Burlington Inn & Suites Full time

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Change bed linen/service guest rooms daily according to schedule.
- Vacuum carpeting.
- Dust all furniture (dressers, nightstands, bed frames, lamps, TVs, microwaves, refrigerators, etc.)
- Remove fingerprints and smudges (i.e. mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc.)
- Thoroughly clean the bathroom area—wash tub, sink, counter top, floor, toilet, etc.
- Ensure all amenities are properly stocked in guest rooms.
- Greet and acknowledge guests
- Adhere to brand standard cleaning requirements.
- Make sure that the standard room set-up is complied with and brand standards are maintained.
- Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied. Report any room unable to be serviced to supervisor according to established procedures.
- Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
- Report all missing items in a room and any personal guest items found in vacant rooms immediately.
- Respond to guest complaints, special requests and take action to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
- Assist General Manager with any additional cleaning chores that may be assigned.
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service.
- **MUST **have flexible availability (weekdays, weekends, holidays, etc.)

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written); second language an asset.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Some heavy lifting required.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Use of cleaning chemicals

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- Day shift
