Gundrill Operator

Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking a **Gundrill Operator**

**Skills & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for loading program(s), & editing when required(selection of grade and cutting tool, etc).
- Ensure effective production of quality parts by checking drawings or sketches, using gauges and other measuring equipment.
- Determine machining requirements, dimensional specifications, and set up requirements from process sheets, blueprints and manual measuring.
- Observe machine operation in order to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools when possible.
- Ensure machining tasks are completed in accordance with specified run times.
- Daily housekeeping & any other duties requested by your supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years of experience related to gun drill operations and/or general machining experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Ability to work well with others in a Team Environment
- Strong attention to detail

This is a full-time day/evening rotating shift position in our Sarnia facility where the individual may be required to work weekends and overtime from time to time

**Salary**:$18.00-$18.50 per hour

**Signing Bonus**:New employees will receive a signing bonus of $500 after successfully completing their three month probationary period, and $1000 after one year of continuous employment. The employee must be on active payroll for the entire timeframe to qualify
