We dismantle whole equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders and rock trucks on site, rebuild the components to their original specifications, and test them on our in-house test bench. The Employee shall be responsible for carrying out the services that normally pertain to a Production Manager for the Hydraulic Rebuild department at Brikers. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Employee shall:
**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Fostering Positive Employee Culture: Building the best team you can have at Brikers through performance encouragement, accountability, and recognition.
- Employee Hiring: Active involvement in hiring of team members including interviews, training, and on-site coaching.
- Employee Management: Develop clear programs and processes to enhance employee skills and influence employee work habits:
- Communicate to management what is being worked on and who is working on what.
- Train all new employees; and.
- Inventory/Supplies Management: Ensure accurate and timely reporting and management of company tools and supplies:
- Ensure minimum levels in stock to support the company sales team.
- Keep company tools/supplies maintained and looked after (chains, lifts, tools, etc.).
- Communication: Develop and execute detailed communication reports to bridge between company operations and sales teams:
- Weekly meetings to report production updates with Operations Manager:
- Strategize weekly/monthly/daily objectives.
- Daily communication between operations and sales:
- Goal setting - weekly/monthly/yearly/2 years/5 years.
- What we want to achieve and how we are going to achieve it?
- Attend and prepare for weekly production meetings:
- Assign tasks to individual employees based on job duties/skill level.
- Weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) Report:
- Develop targets, and report on progress to Operations Manager once per week.
- Meeting Production Targets: Directly responsible to ensure the meeting of production targets set by company management based on the following categories (and ensuring that production numbers are doubled within 12 months of your employment):
- Schedule and lead Monday morning meeting with all technicians.
- Schedule and lead Friday production meetings with Management Team.
- Manage the assignment and delegation of "Sold" tasks to mechanics, sometimes assigning tasks as "High Priority”. Note: Mechanics often see them before first and take them on themselves so this can be actively managed.
- Add tasks to Body & Paint department list to paint components.
- Investigate and report on cause of failure/potential warranty issues.
- Ensure appropriate training is provided to new technicians. Assist with developing training manuals and procedures.
- Make decisions with technicians on economic feasibility of rebuilds. Request direction from Operations Manager if decision cannot be made.
- Make decisions with technicians on reusing borderline worn parts. Request direction from Operations Manager if decision cannot be made.
- Go through main task list every Monday morning:
- Check for "In Transit", adjust weeks if necessary.
- Check for small, quick jobs mixed in with larger time-consuming jobs; and
- Check for variety as different mechanics do different tasks.
- Go through individual task list to update or move jobs around.
- Sort tasks on main list as new jobs are added.
- Ensure test benches are adequately maintained.
- Ensure quarterly inventory count is completed efficiently and accurately.
- General: Performing other such duties consistent with the Employee’s position that the Company management shall, from time to time, reasonably direct.
- The Employee shall work together with their Team to perform their duties.
The Employee shall work under the direct supervision of the CEO and Operations Manager to perform their duties. The Employee shall also undertake such additional duties, responsibilities, and authority as may be assigned to the Employee, by the management of Brikers or the Employee’s supervisor, from time to time. The Employee agrees that any change in duties implemented by Brikers will not affect or change any other part of this Agreement.
