**Your Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Superintendent, Reliability and Plant Engineering, you will be responsible for technical support relating to advanced troubleshooting, specification and design, project support, and maintainability reviews. The Piping and Valve Specialist will lead projects of varying scope and complexity, especially where detailed knowledge of both process and infrastructure is required to execute successfully. As a member of the Reliability and Plant Engineering team, the Piping and Valve Specialist will focus their efforts on adherence to and improvement of specifications and standards, and channeling the necessary input from the field to help facilitate those two goals. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Technical Troubleshooting Support:_
- Receives field information related to the health of piping and valve systems and provides timely intervention to improve reliability of infrastructure
- Support reliability specialists in root cause analysis and with the development of valve maintenance strategies
- Drive the continuous improvement process for Bethune site piping and valve design specifications and standards
- Maintain contact with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers specifically for ongoing troubleshooting support and equipment improvements for piping and valve issues
- Interface with QA/QC, specifically related to the Corrosion Monitoring Program
- Drive the development of the valve rebuild program (both manual and control valves)
- Project Leadership and Input:_
- Participate in the site’s Management of Change (MOC) process as both a Change Lead and stakeholder
- Support planners with notifications, development of engineering work packages (EWP), escalation to MOC projects
- Interface with drafting / design (internal and external), Engineers, and Reliability Specialists
- Ensure projects and scopes are closed out properly (redlines, documentation, etc.)

**Your Profile**:

- Advanced practical experience with piping and valve systems
- Post secondary education in a related area (i.e. Applied Science Technologist, Tradesperson) would be considered an asset
- Experience in heavy industrial process setting is preferred
- Ensures effective relationship building and communication skills within and outside of the department
- Displays a reasoned perspective and brings resolution to issues while considering all areas of impact
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to proactively resolve issues that arise
- Able to work well in a team environment and as an individual
- Demonstrates working knowledge of Saskatchewan Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
